Pumpkin, DON'T!

We were laughing last night because we feel like we are constantly telling Pumpkin to stop doing something. Before Addison was born Pumpkin didn't have hardly any rules (bad on our part, I know) but now she has tons! Poor little dog, this is what she gets all day everyday:

-Pumpkin, DON'T bark at the garbage man!
-Pumpkin, DON'T  bark at the mail lady!
-Pumpkin, DON'T bark at the cows in the field!
-Pumpkin, DON'T!
-Pumpkin, DON'T bark at the TV! (Mike just said this to her as I typed it. HA!)
-Pumpkin, DON'T  bark at the doorbell!
-Pumpkin, DON'T bark at the men in the basement beating and banging! (we are finishing our basement)
-Pumpkin, DON'T!
-Pumpkin, DON'T bark at the fly buzzing around the living room!
-Pumpkin, DON'T get diapers out of the garbage!
-Pumpkin, DON'T stand on Addison!
-Pumpkin, DON'T!
-Pumpkin, DON'T sit on Addison's face! (this was actually funny...Mike said Pumpkin made her a butt face. lol!)
-Pumpkin, DON'T bite at Addison's toys as she is playing with them. They are her toys not yours! (She does have her own toys though, I promise)
-Pumpkin, DON'T!
-Pumpkin, DON'T take Addison's toys away from her!
-Pumpkin, DON'T  lick Addison in the face!
-Pumpkin, DON'T lick Addison's spit up off her face/the couch/blanket/bib/burp cloth/etc...
-Pumpkin, DON'T!

Poor pup! That's quite a list of rules and her world has been turned upside down. I am constantly telling her to stop doing something. She really has done a good job with Addy though. We were really worried before Addy came home because Pumpkin was notorious for trying to nip at other babies that had been to the house. To our surprise she has done VERY well with treating Addison the way we want her to. She hasn't tried to bite her once and in fact, she is, as my mom says, our best babysitter. She will sit and watch Addison and if she even hiccups Pumpkin will look at us like, "Aren't you going to do something?!"
She loves her little sister and I am sure soon enough the tables are going to turn and we will being telling Addison to stop doing stuff to Pumpkin. I can see it now...stop feeding the doggy. Stop pulling the doggy's tail. Stop trying to ride the doggy. But in all seriousness, although our furry child has a long list of rules that have accumulated in the past 8 weeks, she has done a great job with Addison and we still love her to pieces!
