Easter egg hunt

We are loving this beautiful spring weather! The week before Easter one of Mike's colleagues held an open house where there was an Easter egg hunt and an appearance by the Easter bunny. Addison and I decided to go since Mike was working another open house across town. We were ready to fill Addy's basket full of eggs. It was so fun to watch her hunt eggs for the first time this year. In the year's past she's been too little to really understand what is going on, but this year she was definitely in to it! She filled her little basket clear to the top!

Easter 2015

Easter this year was so much fun not only because Addison is obsessed with Easter egg hunting, but because she is starting to ask questions like, "Why do we have Easter?" I love talking to her about Jesus and what he did for us, but it's also hard to put it in kid friendly terms while still being honest. She is so interested in Jesus and why people were mean to him and didn't believe that he was God's son. She also loves when we talk about Jesus came back and that he loves us. She always says, "Jesus wants to be my friend and I want to be his friend." It makes me want to cry when she says it! Her little heart is so kind and so curious. I just love this stage. 

We had a busy and fun Easter that started at Granny Murphy's with a large Easter egg hunt, then finished the next weekend with my parents. Addy loved collecting eggs, some of which she was excited to see had money inside, and spending time with our families worshiping our Lord, Jesus Christ.
