My girls

About two weeks ago Mike and I went for a gender ultrasound to see if baby #2 is a boy or a girl. We were so excited about the day that it was so hard for me to make it through a half day of work. I was betting that baby was a boy and Mike was thinking girl. After the technician looked for a second she said she felt very confident to say that baby #2 is a GIRL!!!! We are so incredibly excited that Addison will get to have a sister and can't wait to welcome her in August. We will be naming her Evelyn Ann. Ann comes from Mike's grandmother, Lois Ann, whom we absolutely adore. Evelyn isn't a family name, but a name both of us have loved for a while. Right now I'm about 18 weeks along and am feeling pretty good. Evelyn has started moving more and more lately, but after seeing her on the ultrasound, she is a lot milder mannered than her big sister. Anyone who knows Addison knows that she's always on the move. Evelyn, not so much. She just kinda hangs out, which scares me at times because I'm used to the way Addison was...ALWAYS moving. Two different personalities, I can already tell ya!

After the ultra sound we went back to our house where we had a gender reveal party with out families. My whole family was thinking boy, so kid you not, they all showed up wearing blue. They were so surprised, in a good way, to find out they were wrong.

I've not had a whole
Lot of cravings so far, but last night chicken fried rice sounded so good. My wonderful husband volunteered to go get Chinese carry out...yes I'm a lucky girl.

I've been feeling Evelyn move for a while now but this morning at church Mike was able to feel her move, too. Addison always moved a lot during worship at church so it was funny to find out that Evelyn is the same way. I love seeing Mike's face when he can feel the baby move for the first time. So special!

Addison is so excited as well. She's been helping me wash clothes and hang them in Evelyn's closet. She even wanted to buy her a bunny at the store the other day. She says the sweetest thing about becoming a big sister, too.

Evelyn and I at 15 weeks...Valentine's day

The sweetest ever...big sister giving baby sister a kiss

We can't wait to welcome a new little lady into our family. Evelyn Ann, you are love more than you'll ever know!
