GO CATS!!

Let's get serious for a minute. UK has a fantastic, ok, amazing and legendary basketball program. Everyone in the Bluegrass looks forward to basketball season when they can count on their CATS to deliver awesome ball games. The Blue and White game will give a true fan chills as they watch the new team unfold... and UK fans are some of the most loyal fans...I mean come on, some will gladly let Coach Cal kiss their baby if the opportunity presents itself. They can also have some of the most heated debates over their beloved Wildcats. You don't mess with a Wildcat fan!

On the other hand, in the BBN football is not so good. Ok, ok... they basically suck. They fumble, get sacked and throw more footballs away than in a peewee football game at your local parks and rec football field. At least those beloved Wildcat fans also enjoy a good tailgate because that is what keeps those seats at Commonwealth Stadium full!

So, in good tailgating spirit Mike and I went to Lexington yesterday in order to cheer on both teams that were playing. Yes, we actually cheered for UK and for the other team. The "other team" was Western Kentucky, where Mr. Fogle spent his glorious college years. We really like WKU and so when we knew they were playing the CATS, we just had to cheer for both. Of course we wore our UK blue, but we also clapped and cheered for Western.

Like I told you, UK fans know how to tailgate during football season; it's the most fun of all! Guess who got to attend her very first tailgate yesterday?
That's right, that adorable CATS fan! She did such a good job and we loved taking her out and showing her around campus.
There's Addy with her very first set of UK tickets. She was super excited about it even though you can't tell from the picture :)
She napped a little bit at first and then she woke up and was ready to play

Mimi and Papaw were with us too...

Then it was time for Addison to do what she does best. EAT!

Our sweet baby girl enjoying the beautiful sunshine and her bottle at the football stadium.

After the tailgate it was time for the game. Addison stayed outside with her Mimi and Papaw while Mike and I went inside the game.

Mike and I supporting the Cats and the Tops!

The plan was for my parents to take Addison home to their house if she got too fussy or cold. Believe it or not, my girl knows how to party. After the third quarter Mike and I decided to head back to the parking lot to call and check on Addison since we don't get service inside the stadium. As we got back to the tailgate we were surprised to see our girl still smiling and hanging out. She had so much fun!

Even though the CATS tied up the game to send them into overtime, they ended up losing the game to WKU. At least the tailgate was a ton of fun, we got to spend some quality time together and our baby girl got to go to her first UK event. GO CATS!
