uneventful

In college New Years Eve was a source of stress for almost everyone I knew.

**What is going on? What will we wear? Who will our date be? Will we be at the best party spot? Do I have a group of friend in town to hang out with? Are any of my friends back from winter break or are they still at home? blah. blah. blah. **

You know that feeling? I have come to know it changes so much after you are working a full time job and you have a family. Mike and I feel that New Years is THE most over rated holiday that there is. Don't get us wrong, we are so thankful that God has blessed us with another year of life, but we just feel that everyone stresses too much about what they are going to do, and then end up disappointed. For that reason, we are seriously the most low key New Year's Eve "celebraters" that there are. This year we watched movies and had a glass of wine and at one point in the evening my crazy husband tried to call it a night before the ball dropped. Seriously boy you best stay up and give your woman a kiss at midnight! ;)

Addison was a little fussy the night of New Years and so we spent most of the night watching some of the movie, pressing pause, rocking our girl to sleep, resuming the movie, then repeating. We have now come to know that night was the beginning of a double ear infection for our sweet girl and she must have felt miserable. She has been pretty pathetic for the past couple of days and is really just starting to feel better. In fact I put her down for a nap at about 4 this afternoon and she's still sleeping at 6:30. Totally unlike her, but I figure she is sleeping it off.

Any who...We rang in the new year as a family of three for the first time and had a pretty good night.

Of course we captured a few pictures...

Oh that little face! I'm so in love!

Can you tell that she is gonna be crawling soon? She is really getting the hang of things and it's only a matter of time until she's off!!! Oh geeze!

Hope you all had as relaxing of a night as we had on New Year's! 2013 sure is looking great so far!
