Addison's gymnastics class

Addison started taking gymnastics lessons about 2 months ago and she LOVES it! Definitely her favorite time of the week for sure. One of the moms in the class told me a story and I have gotten such a kick out of it that I thought I would share it with you as well...

So the first night of gymnastics there were a ton of parents and kids. The class that  Addison is taking is a parent/child class, so we go onto the floor with her. The first night was a big deal, so naturally a lot of mom's and dad's had their camera taking pictures and videos. There were probably 7 kids the first night and Addison took a liking to a little girl named Jaceuqline. They are still pretty big buddies. Anyway, Jacqueline's dad was videoing and her mom was participating in the class. I assumed he was videoing his own child, but the next week when we went back to class, Jacqueline's mom said, "I HAVE got to tell you something..." She proceeded to tell me that when they got home all that Jacqueline's dad could talk about was how athletic Addison was (which she really is) and that he was talking about her to all of their family members to the point where Jacqueline's mom had to say, "Ya know, our child was in that class too!" HA! It gets better though...

She then tells me that they decided to watch the video from the first night of class and I guess Jacqueline's dad was so impressed with Addison athletic abilities that he had videoed her instead of their own child. OMG! A little creepy, but at the same time I think it's funny because she is good at gymnastics and I guess Jacqueline's dad thought so too! 

They do all kinds of stuff during their hour class, like jumping on the trampoline into the foam pit, going on obstacle courses where they learn to do rolls and walk on the balance beam, swing on the ropes and then they run and chase hula hoops which is always a huge hit.

At first I was a little nervous that we had signed her up to start lessons a little prematurely, but after watching how much joy it brings to her, I am so glad that we did!
