A Visit to Santa

Addy did so good this year with Santa. Last year she was terrified but this year she was so brave. She sat in Santa's lap, talked about how Princess Sophia is her favorite princess and even gave Santa a hug. She's really excited for him to come leave presents for her. Someone told me she's been a very good little girl this year! Mike and I were so proud of how brave she was with Santa!

Thanksgiving 2014

I'm doing a little backtracking in order to get caught up. We've been really busy lately and honestly the blog has been the last thing on my mind. I had a few minutes tonight and last night so I am trying to get myself caught up. Thanksgiving was a couple weeks ago and this year we went to my parent's house to celebrate. Being that Mike's family is so large and has two dinners and then there is my family, it's virtually impossible to make it to everyone's house each year, so we have to alternate. My mom made the best turkey I've seriously ever had and my husband backs me up on that ;) It was wonderful, as was the company. We were happy to have everyone in my family under one roof and it was nice to just spend some time with them. Addison had a great day too and ate like a little piggy!

Disney on Ice

Not quite sure how this post slipped through but a couple months back we took Addison to see Disney in Ice one afternoon. It was such a cute performance and Addison loved it. Really got her excited for Disney! She really didn't have a favorite but she really liked all the different princesses when they came out in the ice. Se wasn't a huge fan of te dragon from Sleeping Beauty, but can you blame her? It was such a great family afternoon together!

Do you want to build a snowman?!

Well we've officially had our first snow day of the year.... In November! Can you believe that?! Teaching at a private school this year I was thinking we would not get many snow days. The kids at our school are all brought to school by parents and we don't have buses, so that was another reason I thought school would always be in. Ya know...parents can just keep their child home if they think it's too slick. It was nice to wake up  and get a text that our school was cancelled for the day. The first thing I did was go back to bed (hallelujah!) Then when Addison woke up we headed to the snow. She was so excited. In face her first reaction when she saw it was ," There's snow in the ground and snow on the roof. Get me out there!" Ha! She was super fun in the snow this year!

When Addison got too cold we came in, I made chili and we decorated the Christmas tree in her bedroom. I love her tree...it's a lollipop and gumdrop tree ad it's precious!

She's so proud of her tree! And check out those piggy tails that she begged me to put in. I die!

Such a fun an unexpected day at home!
